Sometimes good things come to an end.
We don’t like taking teeth out. We will always offer you an alternative if there is a viable one available to us.
However, if we can’t, or if you don’t want to have further treatment, we can remove your teeth.
What should I do after I’ve had an extraction?
We can give you options for replacing missing teeth. Apart from chewing, you may wish to replace teeth for other reasons:
- your smile
- to chew well
- to support your cheeks and lips so you don’t have a sunken, aged appearance
- to maintain your bite as remaining teeth have to work harder
- to prevent teeth near the missing tooth from shifting into the space
- to prevent teeth opposite the gap from coming up (or down) further (called overeruption)
